Not that I want to prove the right right, and show that we lefties are now openly hostile, but when someone sticks a W sticker on the round rear window of a 1950's VW Beetle, the mind wanders to fond thoughts of bludgeoning.
Moment of understanding for me: When someone says "Oh, I don't like politics," what they mean is "Oh, I don't like YOUR politics." But as the Italians say, saseachisona, (spelled phonetically) which, I think roughly translates to "you're a moron for voting for the president. "
And while we're on the subject of morons, Nader supporters, you really need to pull your heads out of your sphincters and get with the program. He's not going to win, and by voting for him, you are actually voting for w. By not voting for the candidate with the real chance to win, you're voting for the guy who stole the last election. You think you are sending a message. Do you know what message you send? "Yeah, me and the 2000 other like minded fools in this state are wasting the votes that could have lead to regime change, and so, we are becoming further irrelevant." While no citizen is irrelevant, those who waste their vote are as close to irrelevant as those who don't vote at all. You really like Nader and think he stands for what you stand for? Ask him why he took millions in contribution money from Republicans to get on ballots in most states, and why, even though he knows he doesn't stand a farts chance in a windstorm of winning, he insists on playing spoiler for the Republicans.
